Kentwood Wrestling Club - Michigan Youth Wrestling Association (MYWAY)

We offer a wrestling club for the elementary and middle school ages who would like to compete in weekly tournaments throughout the folkstyle wrestling season.  K.I.D.S. Introductory Program.  We then continue through the beginning of April with our official Kentwood Wrestling Club season.  Practices are held in the East Kentwood High School Wrestling Room on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 - 8:00pm.   Wednesday Evening Conditioning TBA

Note on Cost:  K.I.D.S. Introductory Program - $5 for all In-District Students $10 for out of district.  Club Membership: $100 Includes MYWAY Registration, T-Shirt, and Club Singlet.


The Kentwood Wrestling Club is modeled after the East Kentwood High School Wrestling Program.

Places an emphasis on academics and citizenship.

Stresses great Sportsmanship.

Provides leadership and discipline.

Supplements and Prepares Students for their Junior High and High School programs

Card Fee - $17.00

Includes:  MYWAY Registration, Insurance, KWC Membership with over 50 hours of instruction,

Tournaments are hosted on Sunday’s at Various Locations in the West Michigan Region and Around the State.

Team Dual Meets are available for all skill levels.

Parents can register their students for tournaments on a weekly basis.

Tournament Fees Range from $8.00-$12.00/Wrestler

(Parents Admission Extra $3.00 - $5.00)

EQUIPMENT

T-SHIRT & SHORTS WITH WRESTLING SHOES ARE NEEDED FOR PRACTICE.  (Play it again Sports, Dicks, MC Sports)

(HEAD GEAR RECOMMENDED)

HEAD GEAR AND SHOES ARE MANDITORY FOR COMPETITION.

SINGLETS TO BE ISSUED ON A WEEKLY BASIS TO THOSE STUDENTS WHO WISH TO COMPETE.

KWC Gear such as warm ups and t-shirts will be available for purchase throughout the season.
